the author chooses to give you this information because it leaves you with a hook and makes you wonder what caused him to die and give up his money and car.
The author choose to give that information to us early in the book because i think it is a catchy intro. and it gets the readers attention and that's wut is really important. I thouhgt it was a good idea 2 mansion wut Chris has done so far.

ReplyDeletemaybe to let the reader know ahead of time who he was && why he might have done it...? to let us know why he's so interested in what happened.
ReplyDeleteto let you make your own infrence on the book before hand (your prediction may be correct or incorrect) which may be kind of misleading.
ReplyDeletefor that the author could write about what chris did and what people though of him that he knew and he meet
